Roles & Permissions

For Lythea to use all modules, the bot role needs the right position and a few permissions.

Role Hierarchy

Discord only lets a bot grant/remove roles or rename members that sit below its own role. Under Server Settings → Roles, drag the Lythea role as high as possible — at least above every role the bot should assign automatically (level roles, self-roles, birthday role, boost role).

Required Permissions

The invite link already grants everything needed. If you configure the bot role manually, make sure it has:

  • Manage Roles
  • Manage Channels
  • Manage Messages
  • Manage Webhooks
  • Embed Links / Attach Files
  • Connect / Speak (Voice)

Who can use the dashboard?

By default, only members with server Administrator permission. Additional people without admin rights can be granted access via the Co-Admin module.
