Voice Rooms (Temp Voice)

Members create their own temporary voice channel with a single click — with a custom name, user limit, and lock function. Cleans itself up afterwards.

Voice Rooms are a Supporter feature.

How it Works

When a member joins the configured "Join to Create" channel, Lythea immediately creates a new voice channel dedicated to that person and automatically moves them into it. The creator becomes the owner of the room and can manage it via buttons. When the last person leaves the room, it's automatically deleted after a short grace period — if someone rejoins in the meantime, the deletion is cancelled.

Setup

In the dashboard under Voice Rooms → Settings, configure:

  • Creator channel ("Join to Create") — the voice channel members join to get their own room
  • Category — where the temporary rooms are created
  • Default name — name template with placeholder, e.g. {user}'s Room
  • Default limit — maximum members per room (0 = unlimited)
  • Auto-delete time — how many seconds an empty room stays before deletion (default: 10 seconds)
  • Allowed actions — whether members can rename their room, change the limit, or lock it

Room Controls

The owner of a room gets a control message with buttons:

  • Rename — change your own channel name
  • Set limit — adjust the maximum number of participants
  • Lock / Unlock — close the room to new members or reopen it

These buttons only work for the owner of that particular room.
